I think we all worried for about a millisecond that people were going to see H&S as too masculine; what with all the whiskey & the rust & the blues… Then our burlesque dancers Jill, Eva, Nikki, Molly, Denna, Jenni, Tarin, Diana & Char grabbed the bar to “Bad Girl”. The power and attitude of their performance so obvious that we could claim our show wasn’t even “sex forward” and mean it! Nikki the barbarian swinging down the bar, Jill, the Larry Bird of taking off her pants, Jenni, wedged 30 feet up between a AC vent and a speaker., these girls personify the “strong women working (and partying) hard” ethic that everyone loves. As the poet wrote, The only two things in life that make it worth livin’? Guitars tuned good and firm feelin’ women, no doi.?
